So your business/brand has a Facebook page, but traffic on it is at an all-time low. You may think that marketing-driven posts are enough to keep people interested and engaged, but your posts continue to drift into the abyss of cyberspace unnoticed and unanswered, and you wonder what you’re doing wrong. Don’t worry, you’re not alone—many are lost when it comes to navigating the social media seas. So, our staff has prepared a few pointers to help your page become a fan favorite. Read on, and let your posts prosper!
1. Keep it short and sweet.
Posts that are less than 250 characters create the most interaction.
2. Add some color.
By this we mean, include photos, videos, and quotes with your posts whenever possible. Visuals far exceed plain and simple text in their ability to produce engagement, and quotes, additionally, will drive people to interact with your posts.
3. Ask fans to “fill In the _____.”
Remember Mad Libs? Those booklets you took on road trips (before technology made paper obsolete), where you fill in silly words to create a story? “Fill in the blank” posts are the grownup version of mad libs. They are quick and easy to answer and generate all kinds of quirky responses.
4. Use rewards.
Provide tempting deals, exciting perks, or exclusive information (like a cool video or article) when someone “likes” your page.
5. Be consistent.
Post at least once a day, however, refrain from making every post promotionally-focused. Sharing educational and entertaining content will help your fans to see your Facebook as a compelling learning resource and avenue for amusement. One marketing message for every 9-10 informational posts is a reliable method.

The middle aged lady in this story had the best opportunity to save given her high salary job and increased net worth. For those in industry that have high risk in returning to the career field onceafter job is lost, then they need to find ways to financially sustain their life until they get back on their feet. A high earner like her should have been able to have equity in their home, have Roth IRAs, have high FICO scores and really good credit cards.
